A wonderful bright old cut diamond.
Old Mines.
An old mine cut diamond is an antique, hand-cut gemstone popular during the Georgian and Victorian eras (1700s–1800s). Unlike contemporary machine-cut diamonds, master craftsmen shaped old mine cuts by hand, meaning every single stone possesses completely unique dimensions, proportions, and personality.
Squarish Cushion Shape: A gently rounded, pillow-like silhouette with curved corners.
High Crown: A noticeably tall upper profile when viewed from the side.
Small Table: A tiny top horizontal facet that sits high above the girdle.
Deep Pavilion: A very deep lower section that draws the eye inward.
Large, Open Culet: A prominent flat facet at the bottom tip, appearing as a small window or dark circle when viewed from above.
Totally gorgeous!
