An elongated old mine cut is a rare, hand-faceted antique diamond shaped into a soft, pillowy rectangle rather than a traditional square cushion.
Hand facetted with rudimentary tools, during the Georgian and Victorian eras (early 1700s to late 1800s); true elongated shapes are exceptionally rare in authentic vintage stones because older cutting was mostly squarish.
I often get asked for them but rarely do I ever find one!
