Description
How do I even begin to describe these.
Certified natural, no heat, colour change sapphires, each is over 6ct. Origin, Sri Lanka.
Just look at the clarity and colour saturation of these.
Imperial Russian late 1800’s fully hall marked.
On antique jewellery, a “56” hallmark is a traditional Russian gold purity mark used during the Imperial era (until 1927).
Colour-change sapphires are a fascinating variety of corundum that exhibit different colors when viewed under different light sources, such as daylight and incandescent light. This phenomenon, known as pleochroism, is highly prized in gemstones and adds a unique dynamic to jewellery. Natural, unheated sapphires are particularly valuable as they retain their original color-changing properties without artificial enhancement.
The Russian Imperial era, particularly the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was a period of immense artistic and cultural flourishing, often referred to as the ‘Silver Age’. Jewelry from this period, especially pieces bearing Imperial hallmarks, signifies exceptional craftsmanship and the use of the finest materials. often commissioned for the aristocracy and the imperial family.

I have tried to locate the makers mark CC. Could be attributed to Semyon Sokolov (CeMëH CoKonoB): A well-known jeweller active in Moscow during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Another possibility includes St. Petersburg makers such as Samuel Sandberg, who sometimes used Cyrillic stamps.
Sorry for the long description but these are simply lovely!
Each sapphire is surrounded by wonderful Old cut diamonds totalling approximately 2ct.
Serious enquiries please.
I have taken photos and videos in every light possible!
