This exquisite piece is an authentic Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond Coronet Cluster Ring dating to circa 1920.
The ring showcases a beautifully vibrant old round-cut blue sapphire, likely Ceylon at its centre. Framed by a halo of eight Old European cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.80 carats.
Probably the whitest Old European cuts I have seen. In my opinion F/VS. The stones are claw-set in an open-back platinum mounting, allowing maximum light to filter through.
The natural sapphire measures 5.75mm calculates to weigh 1.15ct.
Each diamond is 3.8mm, estimated at 0.18ct each.
