Here we have a totally charming Old cut diamond.
Original, not Antique inspired.
It has many characteristics of an Old Mine cut, small table, steep crown, chunky facets and slightly off round.
I believe this diamond was cut by hand in the late 1800s as cutting techniques starting to improve, leaning towards the Old European cut.
VS clarity. K/L colour.
7.5mm x 7.2mm x 5.1mm. 1.88ct.
Seen here resting in an antique platinum mount, can be sold set, loose or in a setting of your choosing.
