Gorgeous Moonstone & Old cut diamond cluster ring with such a pretty decorative setting, in 18ct yellow gold.
The Victorian Era (1837–1901): Moonstone saw a dramatic rise in Western fashion during the late 19th century. Queen Victoria was highly fond of the gemstone, prompting artisans to set high-domed cabochons inside intricate gold clusters—often accented by old-cut diamonds to emulate a crown or a flower.
The natural moonstone is undamaged and measures 8mm. It features a semi-translucent, milky-white body color with blue tones, with strong clarity, which is highly sought after in antique estate pieces.
Surrounding are 12 Old European cuts of high colour and clarity.
